Things went South at Sweet & Sassy...

We started our morning driving over Sweet and Sassy in Southlake because the kids needed haircuts. First of all, dealing with all the construction/traffic in that area made me a little crazy. After an hour and half in the car we finally arrived. We were introduced to the stylist. I got a bad vibe as soon as we walked back to her station. She was very unprofessional and didn't act like she even knew how to cut Morgan's hair. I was nervous and told her to only cut about an inch even though I was wanting to cut a little more. After cutting about an inch straight across the bottom she was done. It looks fine but we might still find someone else to give her a cute cut. After those few minutes I decided I was not going to put Graham in her chair. We canceled his appointment and left. We have had better experiences in the past but today I was pretty disappointed. On our drive back to Mansfield, I called a few different salons trying to get Graham scheduled for his haircut. He has so much long, straight, fine hair and I never know what to do with it. Hopefully we will get it trimmed soon...

I had my camera because I was going to take pictures at Sweet and Sassy of the kids having a good time there but obviously that didn't happen. We passed a bluebonnet patch so we decided to get out and play and burn off mommy's steam...

Pure sweetness...even though they both look like they still need haircuts!! :)

Easter Bunny Visit

After school today we hopped into the mall to visit the Easter Bunny. They have never taken a picture with the Easter Bunny so I didn't have too high of expectations but they acted excited when I mentioned going so we gave it a shot.

Here is Daisy, the Easter Bunny, playing Peek-A-Boo with the kids...

I am so proud of them! It's their 1st EVER picture with the Easter Bunny! And they are smiling!

It did take a little bribing to get them this close. They were told the Easter Bunny had a few treats for them if they took a picture with her (a Easter egg with candy, a new coloring book and a book to read) so they agreed to stand as far from her as possible to still be in the picture. :)

They are such sweethearts!! They are SO good to each other. Graham was a little scared and hesitant about it all but Morgan offered to hold his hand and he was all better. I hope their sweet little bond only gets stronger as get older!

They really did have fun and loved all of their treats from the Easter Bunny. Graham kept saying "Bite Me?" He was a little more at ease after I assured him the Bunny would not bite him. :) When we were finishing up and paying for our picture the Bunny started walking toward us and Graham lost it. He was terrified! Poor Baby!

Blowing good-bye kisses to the Easter Bunny!

Afterwards, we played a while at Barnes & Noble before heading home...

Hopping around...

Love my little bunnies!!!

A day of Ups and Downs

It's Spring Break week! We made plans to meet up the Dwinells in Fort Worth on Monday to ride The Forest Park Miniature Train. First off, Morgan had her tap class. She has been taking dance at the Mansfield Activity Center for a few months now. The first month she was in ballet and now this is month 2 of tap and has loved it.

Here she is in ballet...

Playing around after class...

She loves it even more now that her friend, Briley is in her class...
Briley and Morgan heading to class...

Waiting for class to start...

We always take a ball of some sort to keep Graham busy while Morgan in in class.

So after tap we headed to Fort Worth. This was our first time to ride the train and we all enjoyed it! We will definitely go back!

After the train ride, we let the kids play at the park. The park was super crowded and I was super paranoid. I always have a hard time relaxing at big parks when they are crowded. I never want to let the kids out of my sight!! So...I always ask them to play together and I am just one super, duper overly cautious mom! I can't help it...I don't want anything to happen to my babies!! After the park we had a picnic, which they always enjoy, and then headed home. It was a fun morning and a great experience for all on our first train ride!!

Sticking together to satisfy mom...

Ben and Graham

Graham fell asleep for during the last 10 minutes of our drive home. I woke him up when we got home so I could give the them both baths before putting them in bed for naptime.
My sweeties!

My monkeys playing around before nap...

Morgan feel right to sleep and Graham played in his bed. I knew he needed more of a nap but he continued to play and after about 30 minutes he started screaming and crying. I ran upstairs to find that he had taken his diaper and pj bottoms off and he pooped all over his bed. UGH!! Little Stinker!! But Poor baby - He was so upset and grossed out as much as I was. I hurried to clean him up, bathe him again and clean his bed!!

After nap we played outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We had fun playing in the flower beds, riding bikes, playing golf, basketball, frisbee, pretend school with Morgan, and much more. They loved every minute of it!

After coming inside from playing Graham was burning up! It was almost as warm as a summer day so I just thought we got overheated?!?! After awhile I could tell his body temp wasn't coming down. I took his temp to find out he had fever - 103! Poor baby! He showed no signs of not feeling well all afternoon! I gave him a popcycle and turned on a cartoon and he fell asleep. Not too surprising because he is a little napper and I knew he his 10 minute nap wasn't going to cut it but my little guy was not feeling well. Breaks my heart when my babies are sick!

I let him sleep about an hour and then we got him up for dinner and to play with Daddy. He got his second wind and he seemed fine again! No more signs of not feeling well! He ate every bite of dinner and played ball with Daddy and Morgan like every other normal night. I am hoping that he sleeps well and that was the last of the accidents in our beds and being sick so we can enjoy the rest of Spring Break!!

Birthday Party Fun!

February was a birthday party month for us with a birthday party every weekend! It was fun playing with all of our friends! We partied at Colton's house, jumped and bounced at Cheer Texas for Hudson's party, played with animals at Ben's petting zoo party and climbed around on the playground at Sam's party.

Here are some party pics from the birthday parites this past month.

Happy 4th Birthday, Hudson!! Hudson is in Morgan's class this year at First Faith and is also one of our new neighbors.

Celebrating at Cheer Texas!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ben!!! He LOVED all of the animals at his petting zoo party. Super cute party!!

Sweet Addyson!

Sweet Family Friends!!!

The Dwinells are really good friends of ours. We used to be neighbors but we have both moved now but we still hang out a lot!! Ben and Graham are only about 6 weeks apart in age and Addyson is a year older than Morgan. Fun for both the kiddos and the adults when we get together.
