This boy loves to eat!

We started Graham on baby food (green beans) yesterday and he loves them! Yesterday (Day 1) he ate 1/2 of the 2.5 oz container of green beans for lunch and the other 1/2for dinner. Today I was going to do the same but he didn't want to stop eating at lunch so he had one full container at lunch and another for dinner. At Graham's 4 month appt. our doctor suggested we wait until 6 months before starting fruits and veggies but he has been acting so interested in eating. Every evening he sits with us while we eat, watching us eat and even opening his mouth when we took our bites. It made me sad to not give him food so I just decided to try it and he was obviously ready for it. We have a few more days of green beans and then on the green peas. Yum Yum!

Playing Catch Up...

It seems like it has been awhile since my last post and a lot has happened so here we go...Last weekend was a weekend full of birthday parties. Saturday, May 15th we went to Addi's birthday at Pump It Up in Arlington. Not sure who had more fun, Morgan or Bryan?? Bryan is such a fun dad and Morgan loves having him right by her side. She is a daddy's girl!! That afternoon we went to Logan's party at Abbey's Playtime in Grand Prairie. It was our first time there and Wow - What a fun place for toddlers! Morgan loved it! Sunday, May 16th was Bryan's 31st birthday. We went to church and then Gammy came over to babysit and Bryan and I went to play golf. It was a perfect day for golf and we had a blast! Thank you Gammy for babysitting and letting us enjoy the afternoon together! After golf we went home for Bryan's birthday dinner and enjoyed the evening with the kiddos, Gammy and Pops and Brent and Julie. It was a busy but fun weekend. I didn't have my camera at Addi and Logan's parties but I have a couple pictures of Bryan with his babies. They love their daddy. He is the best!

We have been staying busy and we are enjoying this beautiful warm weather. The kids love to be outside which is a blessing because Bryan and I do too! Morgan has been spending a lot of time playing at the park. Here are some pics.

Graham hasn't played at a park yet, but he does love to swing on the patio at home.

And Graham is just being as sweet as ever. On Thursday, May 20th he rolled over for the first time and he has been rolling non-stop ever since. The days of leaving him on the unattended on the couch, changing table or anywhere except the floor are over!

Look out - he will be crawling before we know it!

Graham's 4 month update

On Friday I took Graham to see Dr. Archer because he was a little fussy, not sleeping well, threw up a couple times and not really interested in eating. She said he had a virus and a sore throat so we started him on Tylenol (the generic brand). Today we went in for him 4 month check up with Dr. Sampson. She said his throat is still a little red but felt like it is the tail end of the virus. I hope so! I am ready for him to start drinking full bottles (4oz+) again and get back to his usual sleeping routine. He has only been drinking 2 oz. bottles because his little throat hurts and that means he wants to eat more often, even through the night.

Graham's 4 month measurements are below:

Weight - 14 lb. 3 oz. (50th percentile)
Height - 26" (75th percentile)
Head - 17" (75th percentile)

She said he looks great and very average.

Dr. Sampson recommended that we continue him on Nutramigen for a few more months and continue putting cereal in his bottles to help with his reflux. He has sounded congested/snorty since he was born and she said that is pretty normal for babies with reflux. She said when he sounds better that will mean his reflux is better. As far as baby food goes, she said that since he is getting cereal in his bottles she would wait until 6 months to introduce fruits and vegetables unless he is having 32 ounces of milk a day and still acting hungry. We aren't there yet!

He had his 4 month shots today and did great. We are hoping our little guy's throat starts feeling better soon.

Yesterday Bryan set up the exersaucer and it was a big hit. Look at this big smile!!

Morgan also had fun playing!

Our Happy 4 Month Old Boy

Graham has been a completely different baby the last couple months compared to when he was a few weeks old and was in all of his pain from reflux. He is so happy and such an easy baby now. He is really developing his little personality and changing by the day. He loves to talk and smile with whoever wants to talk and smile back. One of my favorite things is watching him and Morgan talk and smile at one another. It is the sweetest thing ever! He is now showing interest in his toys and his face just lights up when he has a toy to hold or chew on. He is about to roll over from back to front any day if he can just get over that left shoulder. He is still sleeping pretty good but not through the night. We normally feed him around 7:30pm and he wakes up around 2am for a bottle and then goes back to sleep and wakes up around 7am. He normally has 6 bottles a day (4-6 oz. each). He is growing so fast -I think it must either be a boy thing or all the cereal that he is getting. I love him to pieces and his little smile just melts my heart. Here are a few recent pictures of our happy boy.

Don't you just want to squeeze him!?!

We go in for his well check on Monday. I am looking forward to finding exactly how much he has grown and talk to our doctor about starting baby food. I will post his stats next week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all you mommies out there!!

Good and Bad news

Well, the good news with Morgan is showing interest in potty training but the bad news is that most times she wants to sit on the potty with her pants on. Silly girl...I was hoping to have her potty trained before summer but it is getting close and we still have a ways to go...maybe by the end of summer?!?

Good news with Graham is that he is about to roll over any day.

Bad news with him is that we might have a thumb sucker on our hands. Oh no!! I keep pulling his fingers out of his mouth and giving him a toy to chew on instead but it doesn't take long for him to find his finger again. Yikes!!

Tylenol Recall

Thanks to Bryan's dad who heard about the recall on the news we discovered that all of our Children's Tylenol and Motrin is recalled. The bad part of this is that Morgan had 3 doses today because she had a 103 degree fever all day. What does this mean?!? I guess we just watch her closely for anything unusual??? Thank goodness for Brent and Julie, the pharmacists in the family, they were able to suggest other medicine to give Morgan if she continues to run fever. They suggested store brand tylenol or Tylenol Meltaways so Bryan just ran up to CVS to get some in case we need it in the night. Hopefully little Morgan will be better tomorrow. Everyone check out the list of the recalled medicine just to be safe.
