Happy Birthday, Brent!

Last Wednesday we celebrated Brent's birthday with him at the Ranger's game.

We got a babysitter for Graham but we took Morgan with us. This was her 1st Rangers game! She wasn't into watching the game at all but she enjoyed eating all the ballpark food and had a fun trip to the souvenir shop with Aunt Julie. She got a Texas Rangers pink monkey and a necklace and she pick out a Texas Rangers dog to take home for Graham. She saw a few fireworks and was "cheering" for another home run to see more fireworks but that didn't happen. The Rangers played the Houston Astros and were leading the whole game but lost the game in the last inning.

VBC 2011

Last week the kids went to their 2nd Vacation Bible Camp at FUMC. I volunteered to help with crafts again this year because we all had so much fun last year and it allows the kids to attend Wee VBC. Wee VBC rocks!

I didn't get a picture of the kids before leaving the house on their last day of VBC but I did see Morgan's class walking into church so we did get a couple of pictures.

Father's Day

We had a great Sunday celebrating Father's Day! We surprised Bryan with a new Keurig coffee maker and he is loving it! It was a wonderful day of family time, watching the U.S. Open, swimming, cooking and playing outside. Here are some pictures.

We are so thankful and blessed to have such amazing dads. I wish my dad was here with us, I miss him so much but I know he is smiling down! Love you all!

WCCC Club Championship

This past weekend was the WCCC Club Championship. I knew this tournament would bring out all of the great talented women golfers at the club and it would be a competitive weekened!

I played well on Saturday and came in with a 76. I had a 3 shot lead but I knew it would take a solid round on Sunday to win the tournament. On Sunday morning I woke up nervous. I don't believe I have been nervous about a round of golf since my college days. My main focus for Sunday's round was to stay in the present (take it one hole, one shot at a time), commit to the process of hitting good shots and just give myself the best possible chance and the outcome was another great round of 77, which was good enough to win the championship this year.



What a fun weekend full of a lot of good golf!

Summer cuts (part 2)

Today we got Morgan's haircut while Pops babysat Graham. We have always taken her to Sweet & Sassy in Southlake for her haircuts but last time I wasn't very pleased with the cut so today she went to a stylist at Avante. She was great but I think she did miss all of the "extras" they do at Sweet & Sassy (glitter stars on her face, glitter hairspray and lollipops). She did get a couple Hello Kitty stickers when she was finished so she was happy about that. I forgot my camera but when we got home we went for a walk and I snapped a few pictures of my beautiful girl!

Summer cuts (Part 1)

The kids have been needing good summer cuts so today while Morgan was at April's I decided to take Graham to Kazaam's for his haircut. I didn't get any pictures at Kazaam's because he was sitting in my lap. He was PERFECT! Next time, I might see if he will sit in the chair all by himself.
