Friday Fun

Morgan has been running fever since yesterday so we are going to the doctor at 4:00 but that is not the fun part of today. We have been cooped up in the house the last two days trying to let the Motrin kick Morgan's fever so I thought it would be good to get out for a little while today, head to the mall and let the kids have a little fun on the carousel. Morgan is a big fan of the carousel but this was a first for Graham so I wasn't sure how he would do. We walked up to the carousel and Graham started crying. It made me giggle because a couple days ago we walked out of our neighborhood to a nearby pasture with horses and Graham was terrified of them and just screamed. So today I think he had flashbacks to the real horses he met the other day. We went ahead and got onto the carousel and I got them strapped onto their horses. Graham cried the first half of the ride but ended the ride with a big grin. When we were leaving he was twisting out of the stroller trying to keep his eyes on the horses like he was watching his back. It was so funny! Morgan was the good sister that she is...She kept telling him that he was okay and that the horses weren't real. Thinking back to when Morgan was Graham's age she cried too and wouldn't ride the horses either. She would only ride on the benches on the carousel. They are alike in so many ways...

See-sawing

Not too sure about this...
Telling Graham he will be okay! Love the little helper that she is!!

It was a good little outing for all of us! Now everyone is napping and then to the doctor we go.

Weekend with the Grandparents

The kids love every minute they get to spend with their grandparents and this weekend was a great weekend full of "grandparent time." Nonny and Gramps came to stay with us and the kids were excited to have them in town as were we!

Here a some pictures of the kids from the weekend...

Blowing bubbles and waiting for Nonny and Gramps to arrive...

Graham is loving his golf clubs these days. Nonny and Gramps played a lot of golf with him over the weekend. :)

Being silly...
It is still hard to get Morgan to let us take pictures of her...I love capturing her beautiful smile...wish it wasn't so hard. :)!!
Graham is finally showing a little interest in books...but he still doesn't sit still for long.

Morgan's friend Emmerson Loeffler had a her 2nd birthday party on Saturday afternoon so Bryan and I took her to the party and Nonny and Gramps kept Graham at home.
After we got home we headed out to play a little tee ball...

And had some ice cream...
It was a fun day full of golf, tee ball, playing in the back on the play house and roller coaster, going on walks and wagon rides, bubbles, and more....
They love their Nonny! And Gramps! Not sure where he was hiding during this picture. :)
It was a fun couple of days. Can't wait to see them on Easter weekend!
On Sunday afternoon we went to Gammy and Pop's house to hang out with them. Pop's has turned their back yard into a mini golf practice area. We took the kids golf clubs and I think we all got a little practice in. :)
Ready to go to Gammy and Pop's

Our happy family!

Trying to get Pop's clubs...

Playing tee ball with Gammy...

Morgan took her backpack full of toys and they kept her busy...

After another fun afternoon with grandparents, we had pizza and headed home to relax.
It was a perfect weekend!

Hoops 101

We got a baskeball goal for the kids and they have loved it. It is perfect! You can raise the height of the goal as the kids grow. It should be raised a little for Morgan but we were letting Graham get a hang of it.

Our little star dunking the ball...

So proud...

Waiting for Morgan to come and play...

Graham guarding the ball from sis...

Morgan stole the ball and went for 2...

Graham's rebound...

And his lay up...

Morgan's 3 point shot and Graham ready for rebound...

This was a great purchase for the kids. We will take it outside but Morgan has double ear infections and Graham has a cold so we are staying inside for now.

Graham was ready to play again first thing this morning...

Love my little athletes!

Easter is on its way...

I have been itching to get outside and get the yard looking good so that is what we spent our Sunday doing. I can't wait for the grass to turn green and the flowers to bloom. I love Spring!

One of my projects this weekend was to get a little Easter decor outside. I made a trip to Hobby Lobby and found a little bunny sign and two eggs and hurried home to put the kids initials on the eggs and up they went.

While Bryan and I cleaned up the yard the kids played. They LOVE being outside. Morgan loves to write with chalk, ride her bike and scooter and play soccer and golf. Graham loves to try and do everything that Morgan does but especially loves to play ball. :) I think our next toy purchase for Graham will be a basketball goal. He loves to play with our neighbor's goal.

Playing a little golf...

Graham dragging his club around...

Enjoying their popcycles...

It was a fun, playful afternoon but we still managed to be productive and get our lawn cleaned up.

Look-alikes

Today I was asked if Morgan and Graham were twins. I thought I misunderstood the lady until she asked again. Graham is a big boy but twins, REALLY?!? Being an identical twin myself, I am very used to hearing the question...."Are y'all twins?" when my sister and I are together but never thought I would be asked the question about my kids who are 2 years apart. :)

They do look a lot alike no doubt. I was trying to get pictures of them this morning for this post but of course they were having too much fun playing that they didn't want to stop for pictures.

I think Morgan looks a lot like me as a little girl and Graham looks like his daddy, yet they still look quite a bit alike.
