Playing catch up...

On President's Day, I had the pleasure of keeping Ashleigh Wells. She is in kindergarden and had a school holiday. I am so happy her parents thought of me when they needed a sitter. Morgan and Graham loved having her over all day to play.

We went to the park in the morning but that was pretty chaotic. I forgot my stroller for Graham so of course, he wanted to play like all the other kids. With it being a school holiday the park was packed and I was paranoid about something happening to the girls while I was busy helping Graham around the playground so we cut the park visit short and headed back home to play.

Hopscotch...

The weather has been so nice lately so last weekend we took the kids out to the golf course to play a few holes and of course, feed the ducks. We all played a little golf but I didn't get any pictures of us golfing but Morgan was quite the little golfer. I got a few of the kids feeding the ducks.

This was Graham's first time to feed the ducks and he was very brave. Probably a little too friendly with the ducks...

This pictures cracks me up! The duck snapped at his finger and this was Graham's reaction. It looks like he is about to punch the duck. Ha!

We are loving this warmer weather and are ready for Spring and Summer!
Today I got these pictures of the kids pushing each other around the house.

I love these little simple moments of the kids playing together. Time is going by so quickly and it makes me sad to think they are growing up so fast but I love watching them grow and seeing what each new day brings for them.

Happy Birthday, Colton!

A couple of weeks ago we went to Houston for Colton's 2nd birthday party. We are happy we were able to celebrate his big day with him!

Birthday Boy!

Cute family pic

Colton's cousins...Morgan (3), Mason (2) and Graham (1) (Riley wasn't able to make the party)

Trying to get a pic of all the kids but Graham wasn't cooperating...

May all of Colton's wishes come true today and always!

Kristie and Brian did a great job at planning the perfect party for their handsome, sweet 2 yr old!
Brian and Kristie gave the kids four wheeler rides after the party was over...So fun!

We can't wait til the next time we get to see them!!

First Haircut

Today Graham got his 1st real haircut! Bryan hasn't wanted me to get his haircut so I have been putting it off for a couple weeks. Neither of us wanted him to have a super short cut so I was nervous and unsure as to where to take him. Kazaam's was recommended by a friend so we gave it a shot.

I stressed to the stylist that we didn't want a short haircut. We like the length but it just needed to be cleaned up a bit.

Before pic

Straped into the car waiting for his stylist

Graham sat in the car for part of his haircut but then got squirmy so I had to hold him at the end. He really did good and had a great first experience!

Morgan watching closely...

After shot...The stylist said she gave him a Justin Beiber cut...

Then he was ready to play on all of the animals...and he didn't want to leave.

Well, here is Graham with his Justin Beiber cut...Mic and all...

I think it turned out cute...We will see what Daddy thinks! :)

No More Nutramigen!

This is great news! Graham has been on Nutramigen formula since he was 6 weeks old when his doctor discovered his milk allergy. Just a tid bit about the formula...it stinks, it's expensive and it's hard to find in stores. But it's what Graham needed so of course, we bought it.

Right when he turned 1 we introduced whole milk and he started throwing up. The doctor suggested putting him back on formula and trying milk again in a week or so. We did and wha-laa! He took it like a champ. He is now drinking whole milk and eatting all kinds of dairy (yogurt is one of his favorite foods) so it appears that he has outgrown his milk allergy after all. Yay!!

Morgan's 3 year stats

Morgan loves going to the doctor's office these days and she was really looking forward to her check up today and telling Dr. Sampson that she is now 3 years old!

She weighs 30 lbs. putting her in the 50th percentile and she is 36 1/2 inches tall putting her in the 40th percentile for height. Then it was time for Morgan to show Dr. Sampson how smart she is. We were in the "frog" room so Dr. Sampson asked Morgan what color all the frogs were and Morgan told her. Then she counted the frogs and showed her she could count to 15. Next she sang her ABCs and lastly she showed Dr. S she knows her some of her shapes (cirlce, square, triangle). All of this really almost made me cry. She is usually pretty shy and I was so proud of her for doing everything Dr. Sampson asked of her and doing it right! She is such a BIG GIRL!

She was very excited to show Dr. Sampson her Hello Kitty panties and Dr. Sampson told her that she is so very proud of her for wearing panties and learning to use the potty.

After all the fun and games, it was time for her one last shot until she turns 4. She was fine talking about it but of course, cried after getting it. But she didn't cry for long but she is still telling me her leg is really sore. Poor baby!

We are so thankful for our healthy and bright little girl!

Potty Training Progress

We are so proud of our big girl for the progress she has made with potty training over the last week. To be honest, I have been dreading potty training and haven't spent the time working with her that I needed to but while being stuck at home last week for 4 days due to ice/snow I realized it was the perfect opportunity. She mastered TTing without any problem. The problem we have is getting her to go poop on the potty. She is scared and won't do it! We have tried reading potty books, bribing, etc. It is stressing me out because I don't want her to get constipated so we have been putting diapers on when she tells us she has to poop. I have heard and read that it is a pretty common problem and if we could just get her to do it one time I think she will be fine. But HOW?? Let me know if you have any suggestions!! She is very excited about all of her pretty Dora, Princess and Minnie Mouse panties and she looks super cute in them. We are proud of her and hope that she will get No.2 mastered in the near future!

Snowstorm of February 4, 2011

What a crazy weather week this has been! After being iced in for 3 days we got 5-6 inches of REAL snow today. So much more than "the light dusting" that the weatherman predicted for our area. It was SO beautiful and much more fun than the ice we have had the last few days!

Me and the kids headed out early this morning to play in the snow.

Finishing their banana before stepping into the snow...

Our snow angel...

Our snow bunny...

Catching snow flakes...

Ice and snow in February is not ideal for CPAs. This is Bryan's busy season and he can't take off right now. Luckily he knows how to drive in the messy conditions we have had this week so that he could get to his office to get his work done. He only worked half a day today and we were all very excited to have him home this afternoon to play! We went to Gammy and Pop's house to play in there big backyard of snow.

All of us...

Pops found his bobsled and we had a blast playing with it...

Weeee....

Gammy holding Graham while he waited for his turn...

Hold on tight...

Helping Graham get ready for his first ride...

And he was off....
And he LOVED it!

Chasing the sled...

Being silly...

Daddy pulling Morgan SO fast...

Mommy's turn to pull...

Ready to go inside and warm up.

We all had so much fun today and made the most of this beautiful, snowy day!
