First Cleaning

So, this week was a week of appointments for the kiddos. They both got haircuts this week, Graham had his 15 month appointment and today was Morgan's 1st cleaning at the dentist. Last summer she spent quite a bit of time at the dentist after her accident at the waterpark so she became very familiar with Dr. Lumsden's office and the staff. Last summer she always had to sit on our lap during her appointments and was very selective as to who she was going to look in her mouth. That might have been because of her age or because her mouth was hurting and she wasn't confortable. But WOW, what a difference 6 months makes. She did absoultely PERFECT today! I have been talking up her appointment and promised yogurt if she was a big girl during her cleaning. I know, I know...Ice cream after a cleaning, call me crazy, but it worked!

Excited about her dentist appointment!

She jumped right into the big chair by herself with no fear!

She let them take x-rays and then got ready for the cleaning.

She let Ms. Sherry count her teeth, polish, rinse and floss them. They said it was her "Happy Appointment" and that at 3 they just hope to make it a good experience and they would do as much or little as she allowed them to do. She was the PERFECT patient and they did everything they possibly could have done to her little teeth. Lastly, Dr. Lumsden looked her over and he was very happy with how her front teeth have healed since last summer's accident and told us the x-rays looked good. She got a new tooth brush and stickers on her way out. What a excellent 1st cleaning for our big 3 year old!!

And then as promised...A little yogurt from Purple Berri

Happy kids with tummies full of sugar!

After cute haircuts, Graham's shots, and Morgan's dentist appointment we are ready for a fun weekend. Hope you all enjoy yours!!

15 months

This morning Graham had his 15 month well visit. It really makes me sad that time is passing so quickly and he is growing up so fast. I feel so blessed to get to stay home with the kids. I can't imagine being a working mom (outside of the home) right now. They grow up too fast to not enjoy every minute possible with them. Look at how big our little guy has gotten!!

He weighs 23lb. 5 oz. putting him in the 45th percentile for weight and he is 32 inches long putting him in the 90 percentile for height. His head measured 19 inches which puts his head size in the 75th percentile. He got 2 shots and handled them like a champ. He was perfect for Dr. Sampson. He is used to Morgan giving him check-ups at home so he has gotten pretty good at sitting still for his check ups. :)

He seems to be right on track developmentally at 15 months. One thing I was a little worried about was his talking. He is still really only saying Mama, Dada, and Uh-Oh. He babbles more but not actual words just yet. He understands a lot more than he can say. Dr. Sampson said at 18 months he should say 7-8 words. Hopefully these new words will come soon. I am probably worrying for no reason...I am good at that! We have had no luck in getting him to drink milk out of a cup. We are weaning him off his night bottle right now. He gets his calcium from yogurt, cheese and ice cream but I hoping we can get him to drink a little milk eventually. Morgan never would drink milk out of a cup either. What is wrong with these kiddos? Do they get this from their momma or what? I can't say I blame them but I know it is good for them so we will keep trying.

After we left the doctor's office we went to get Graham his 2nd haircut at KaZaam's. Here he is waiting his turn.

I didn't get any pics during his cut because he was sitting on my lap. He ate his lollipop and was perfect!!

Our last stop this morning was the mall for some shopping and a carousel ride. Sporting his new cut...

And playing at Gymboree

Morgan was at Mrs. April's today. It is just easier to get some of these things done with only one kiddo in tow.

Friday Fun

Morgan has been running fever since yesterday so we are going to the doctor at 4:00 but that is not the fun part of today. We have been cooped up in the house the last two days trying to let the Motrin kick Morgan's fever so I thought it would be good to get out for a little while today, head to the mall and let the kids have a little fun on the carousel. Morgan is a big fan of the carousel but this was a first for Graham so I wasn't sure how he would do. We walked up to the carousel and Graham started crying. It made me giggle because a couple days ago we walked out of our neighborhood to a nearby pasture with horses and Graham was terrified of them and just screamed. So today I think he had flashbacks to the real horses he met the other day. We went ahead and got onto the carousel and I got them strapped onto their horses. Graham cried the first half of the ride but ended the ride with a big grin. When we were leaving he was twisting out of the stroller trying to keep his eyes on the horses like he was watching his back. It was so funny! Morgan was the good sister that she is...She kept telling him that he was okay and that the horses weren't real. Thinking back to when Morgan was Graham's age she cried too and wouldn't ride the horses either. She would only ride on the benches on the carousel. They are alike in so many ways...

See-sawing

Not too sure about this...
Telling Graham he will be okay! Love the little helper that she is!!

It was a good little outing for all of us! Now everyone is napping and then to the doctor we go.
