3 hours of sleep...

Makes for a tired baby, mommy and daddy. At least Morgan is a sound sleeper and she still managed to sleep right through Graham’s screaming last night. Yesterday Graham was fussy but I didn’t think too much about it. He was spitting up more than normal, coughing, choking, and gagging with every bottle. Around 9:00 last night the screaming began. Bryan and I passed him back and forth, rocked, walked, talked, sang, cuddled and tried everything else we could think of to make Graham calm down and nothing worked. Around midnight I got him asleep in his swing and we slept for an hour until he woke up screaming again. This went on all night aside from the 3 hours of sleep that we managed to get. We got in to see the doctor this morning and he showed her how unhappy he is. She checked him out and said he throat is a little red but that is all that she found. She doesn't think that is what is causing him to be so unhappy. She increased his prevacid dosage to twice a day and we are going to start giving him Mylanta after every feeding. If he doesn’t get better by the end of the day we are headed to Cook’s for xrays and blood work. We are praying that our little guy gets to feeling better. It is an awful feeling to listen to your baby cry for hours and not be able to do anything to make him feel better. I should have taken him for a ride in the car last night or given him a bath…two of his favorite things. We were planning to leave for El Campo today but the doctor suggested we stay put for now and continue to monitor him to determine if we need further tests. We were all looking forward to going to visit my family and if he seems better by morning we may head that way then. Most importantly --- we want baby Graham to feel better and be happy and hopefully we can all get more rest tonight!!

Two months old

Our sweet boy is 2 months old. He had this 2 month check-up this morning. He is now 10 lbs 10 oz and 23 3/4 inches long and his head measured 16 ¼ inches. He is in the 25th percentile for weight and 75th for height and head size. He is getting so much better and happier by the day. We took him in a couple weeks ago for an ultrasound and he tested positive for reflux. Dr. Sampson said the ultrasound showed he refluxed every 2 minutes in the 10 minutes tested. Poor baby!! He is on Prevacid and I believe it is making him feel better. The pediatrician also ordered more stool tests and they came back negative meaning no more blood in his stools. He has been on Nutramigen for about 2 weeks now and it seems to be helping his milk allergy. Hopefully, he will outgrow both reflux and his milk allergy over time.

Little random facts:
*Graham loves when people talk and sing to him. He usually smiles and tries to talk back.
*He has a 4 ounce bottle every 3 hours during the day and at night he usually makes it 4 hours between feedings.
*He LOVES baths and he gets two a day, every morning and night.
*We finally got him to sleep in his bed and he is doing great.
*He is getting so strong and is really doing a good job holding up his head
*He is wearing 0-3 month or 3 month outfits.
*He is starting to loose some of his hair. We think his hair may come back light. Is he going to have red hair?!?!

Graham is such a blessing and we are so thankful that he seems to be feeling better. Here are a couple new pictures.

Sun and Flip Flops -- We are ready!

We are so ready for spring, sun, flip flops and pool time. Morgan and I are ready for pretty toes too. Today she let me paint her toe nails for the 1st time. She is such a big girl and we are really starting to enjoy fun girl things together. Look at her pretty painted toes.

And Graham sat and watched us. It won't be long before he and daddy get to do fun boy things together.
